Hong-Kong : Tai O

Tai O was originally the aim of our Saturday's walk, Tung Chung only being an unexpected stop.
Tai O is a fishermen village located on Lantau Island, along a canal linking 2 sides of the island. Most houses are colored and built on stilts, what is pretty charming.
The village is only 30 minutes away by boat from the urban (organized) chaos of Hong-Kong Island, but you feel like you are in another country, another dimension almost! You switch from steel and glass buildings to small wooden houses, from a deafening noise to a penetrating calm, from rows of luxurious department stores to small stalls of dried/fried fishes and seafoods...
All in all, such a change of scenery close from home feels good! :-)
